Sunsail Tahiti Base

The Sunsail base at Faaroa Bay lies in a magnificent peaceful bay on the southeast of Raiatea, the second largest island in French Polynesia and part of the Society Islands.

Basic provisioning is available from a store located 3 kilometres away (open seven days a week) and stocks most of your necessities. You can tie up next to the supermarket dock downtown (about 1 hour navigation time).

The boarding house "La Croix du Sud" is located just above the Sunsail Tahiti base and is open for lunch and dinner.  Advance bookings are required as the food and hospitality are excellent. 
Prices  range from 2500-3000 Fcp for a three course meal with drinks. Radio ahead your reservations on VHF 10
- or Call 66 27 55. The "La Croix du Sud" is a very popular stop for many on our sailing holidays in Tahiti and can help to energise you up before or during a charter.

Our office hours are from 7.30 am to 5 pm.

Out of Hours Arrival Procedures

Most clients land around 08.00 hrs and fly out again around 17.50 hrs, during base open hours. In case people arrive
earlier or later we arrange that one customer service person meets them and does the check in of the boat. In the evening
we brief on the bare minimum so they know where everything is onboard and then continue with chart briefing the next
morning.

Transfers to the Base

Transfers to the Sunsail base in Tahiti from the airport or the town can be arranged from 2000 Fcp per person.  Contact Sunsail Tahiti for transfer bookings upon making your Yacht Charter Reservation.
